In this article, you will see how to pay an invoice with a credit card (either a firm credit card or a client's credit card for which a client has provided the information). In order to use this, you will need to have a LawPay account and the LawPay Integration active.
If you have the LawPay integration, you are also able to:
Send invoices/bills to clients, allowing them to pay with their credit card
Set up a payment plan to pay the invoice incrementally and over a set amount of time
If you would like to learn more about our LawPay Integration, you can also check out this article.
If you already have a credit card on file provided by the client and are authorized to charge them through this method, you can process charges for work done, expenses incurred, etc.
In order to record the payment, you would have to create an invoice first.
After creating the invoice and clicking the Record Payment button, you will be directed to fill out the information regarding the payment.
To use the option for paying with a credit card, you will need to select the option for Credit Card under Payment Type.
After selecting the Credit Card option, you will continue to enter the payment amount and the option to add a note. Once all necessary information has been entered, click the Billing Details button to fill out the card information and then click on the Submit Payment button to complete the transaction.
