Getting Started
The first step in sharing a smart form with a client is by of course creating a smart form for the client! If you have not yet made a smart form to be share, click here to learn more about smart forms. The same can be done for custom intakes. To learn more about custom intakes, you can click here.
Second, we need to make sure that the client is set up with access to their Client Portal. If you have not done so yet, click here to learn more about creating a Client Portal for your client.
Once you have the smart form set up and the Client Portal active, you will be ready to share (or un-share) a smart form with a client through their portal.
If you want to share the actual forms and not the smart form questionnaire, you will need to download the forms and then share these as a file to the client's portal.
Sharing a Smart Form
In order to share an Smart Form to a client's portal, you will need to follow the steps below:
Navigate to your client's dashboard page (or respective matter dashboard page of the smart forms are associated with the matter)
Click the Forms tab
Select the checkbox on the left for each smart form that you would like to share
Click the More Actions dropdown button
Select the option of Share to Portal.
Make sure that you have selected the correct client
Click the Submit button
Un-Sharing a Smart Form
In order to un-share an Smart Form to a client's portal, you will need to follow the steps below:
Navigate to your client's dashboard page (or respective matter dashboard page of the smart forms are associated with the matter)
Click the Forms tab
Select the checkbox on the left for the smart form that you would like to un-share
Click the More Actions dropdown button
Select the option of Share to Portal.
Click the Trash Can icon to un-share a previously shared smart form.
Confirm that you would like to proceed with removing the smart form from the Client Portal.
