With Docketwise, you can track your time as you work and create time entries. You can also import time entries into invoices, which you can share with your clients.

Creating a Time Entry
Time Entries can be created either by:
Recording in real time
Manually creating time entries
Recording in real time
In order to start recoding in real time, you will need to follow the steps below:
Locate the time tracking widget at the top of your dashboard
Click the Play icon to start the time tracker
In order to stop the time tracker, simply re-click the Play icon
Update the details of your invoice (such as Description, Contact, Matter, etc.)
Click the Save Entry button
Note: You can restart the timer any of the following ways:
Click the Save Entry and Start Timer button after adding the details for the time entry.
Click the menu icon next to the time tracker and resume it under recent entries
Locate your time entry from the time entries index or contact/matter overview page and click the Play button.
Manually creating time entries
In order to manually create a time entry, you will need to follow the steps below:
Click the ➕ button next to the time tracker
Update the details of your invoice (such as Duration, Date, Description, Contact, Matter, etc.)
Click the Save Entry button (or Save Entry and Start Timer button if you wish to start the timer)
Viewing Time Entries
In order to view your time entries, you can either navigate to the Contact or Matter Overview Page of the Contact/Matter associated with the time entry or view all time entries for the entire firm. From any of these views, you are able to filter your results as well.
To view your time entries for a specific contact, you can navigate to your Contact's Overview Page and click on the More ▼ tab and select Time Entries. Once there, are able are able to see all time entries relating to that specific contact.
To view your time entries for a specific contact, you can navigate to your Matter's Overview Page and click on the Time Entries tab. Once there, are able are able to see all time entries relating to that specific matter.
To view your time entries for your entire firm, you can click the 3 Vertical Dots ( ⋮ ) on the time tracking widget from your Docketwise Dashboard and choose the View Time Entries option. Once there, are able are able to see all time for your entire firm and filter your results accordingly.
Editing Time Entries
If you need to make any revisions or changes to your time entry after it has already been created, you will need to follow the steps below:
Locate your time entry, which can be accomplished by any of the options for viewing time entries (see above)
Click on the 3 vertical dots corresponding to the time entry to be edited
Select Edit Entry
Update the information (such as Duration, Date, Description, Contact, Matter, etc.) as necessary
Click the Save Entry button
Import Time Entries into an Invoice
In order to import time entries into an invoice you will need to follow the step below:
Either create a new invoice or open an invoice that has already been made
From within the invoice, navigate to the Invoice Charges tab
Click the Time Entries button
Check the boxes for all time entries that you wish to bill for
Click the Import Time Entries button
